Machine Gun Kelly vs. Eminem feud doesn’t seem to be over yet.
MGK recently commented on YouTuber Scru Face Jean’s review of his latest track ‘BMXXing.’ In the comment, MGK shared the idea that Eminem came out on top in their previous feud. This sparked even more controversy.
In his review of ‘BMXXing,’ Scru Face Jean drew comparisons to Mac Miller’s style and said of the Eminem vs. MGK feud:
“MGK really stood up and fought. There is a lot of people who were afraid to say something about Em, so I gotta respect him for that.”
In response to the video, MGK took to X and wrote that Eminem ‘didn’t win’:
“To where it was shot: in Cleveland on CSU staircase and another spot on the west side of the city. and the pool – I just emptied it in my backyard. Also, he didn’t win.”
Why The Feud?
In 2012, he caused controversy by calling Eminem’s daughter Hailie ‘hot as f–k’ on X. MGK was 22 and Hailie was 16 at the time. MGK later claimed that Eminem influenced media outlets to ban his music because of that tweet, and he even mentioned it in a freestyle on LA Leakers in 2017. Eminem responded with a diss to mock MGK’s image and lyrics with the song ‘Not Alike.’
MGK fired back with a full diss track aimed at Eminem, called ‘Rap Devil.’ In the song, he made bold claims and even alleged that Eminem asked Diddy to sabotage MGK’s career. It got a lot of attention on social media and some even said MGK won round one.
Eminem later addressed the issue. He explained that he dissed MGK because MGK thought Eminem was trying to sabotage his career. Eminem clarified he doesn’t care about MGK’s success and said there are many better rappers than MGK. Eminem also admitted that though he wanted to ‘destroy MGK’s career, he didn’t want to elevate his status.
Who Do Fans Think Won?
The feud got so big that it grabbed the fans’ attention. Some Reddit users shared their thoughts on the feud about who they think won.
While some stated that Eminem won, one user said Eminem’s album was ‘bland.’ Some others said no one won or lost anything.
One wrote the whole thing was just to benefit from each other:
“Eminem’s diss was harder for sure but MGK is more popular than he’s ever been and is touring arenas, so hard to say he ‘lost.’ If anything, he benefitted from the beef more than Eminem. The beef itself was actually incredibly corny (on brand for both) but it kind of did away with the aura and mystique that if you beefed with Eminem, he’ll end your career. I also think it’s more true than people want to admit that Eminem exclusively punches down at sh*tty rappers when it comes to beef.”
So there is still no ‘winner’ or ‘loser.’
