Lzzy Hale celebrated Taylor Momsen’s 31st birthday with a post on Instagram on July 26. The caption under the two’s photos taken by Rob Fenn read:
“Happy birthday to my sister bansheeee, Taylor Momsen… What a marvel this woman is. A soul full of stars that has fought through many lifetimes to get here… she has lived to tell the tale and pass her flame to everyone she reaches. Do something just for You today, Taylor! See ya on the high seas!”
Hale Thinks Momsen Is A ‘True Rock N’ Roll Chick’
Lzzy Hale and Taylor Momsen have been friends for several years. Their bands, Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless, even toured together in the summer of 2022 and the fall of 2015. Hale told Louder Noise about Momsen during the 2015 trek:
“She’s one of those true, just right-down-to-her-core rock-and-roll chicks. It’s an interesting perspective, because she’s not doing it for the fame, ’cause she’s already had that with her acting career, she’s not doing it for the money, so she literally walks out there every day and just wants to rock. And it’s really refreshing to see… And she’s so consistent.”
The Pretty Reckless vocalist is now set to perform in Nuremberg, Germany, with her band to support Led Zeppelin on July 27. Halestorm is to take the stage in York, Pennsylvania, the same day.
Hale And Momsen Are ‘Dear Friends’
The two frontwomen also collaborated on a cover of Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’ in 2020. While discussing the track on In This Moment’s ‘Mother’ album, Momsen told X89 that year:
“Maria [Brink] called up and said, ‘Hey, I have this idea. Lzzy is on board. Is this something you’d be interested in?’ Obviously, ‘We Will Rock You’ by Queen is a fantastic song; I’m a huge fan. And Maria and Lzzy are dear friends, so it just kind of felt like a very natural collaboration. So, I said yes and sang my part, and now it is what you guys can all hear.”
