Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale and Evanescence’s Amy Lee have a new upcoming project together.
Halestorm shared a brief video on Instagram which had a swinging microphone in front of logos for Evanescence and Halestorm. At the end, there’s a picture of a leaf and the word ‘TUESDAY.’ The video had the caption:
“Stay tuned, freaks.”
How Did The Fans React To The Post?
Evanescence also posted the same video on their official account. Fans of the two bands gathered under the posts and tried to guess what was coming. One of them wrote:
“Good lord have mercy on us. Ok, so there’s a leaf. It’s either an EU tour in Europe in autumn or a tour in Canada. *Manifesting Europe for my well-being* OK listen, have the warning open for you guys.”
Another fan said:
“It’s either new music featuring Halestorm or tour with Halestorm.”
One other person also thought it was a tour:
“EV and Halestorm autumn tour announcement happening this Tuesday is my prediction.”
Lzzy And Amy Are Good Friends
Hale and Lee have had a close relationship since they first met in 2012 during the Carnival of Madness tour. The two singers also collaborated on a song named ‘Break In.’ The track was originally a part of Halestorm’s second studio album, ‘The Strange Case Of… ‘
Lzzy sang with Amy on Evanescence’s song ‘Use My Voice’ from their album ‘The Bitter Truth,’ released in March 2021. Hale shared how they met in a chat with Pollstar:
“Yeah, the first and only time we were both on a full-fledged tour was that Carnival of Madness tour. We had a lot of mutual friends, and they’d talked to me, like, ‘Have you ever met Amy?’ No, I hadn’t, but from the first day on that tour, we became best friends. It was, for me, finding that kindred spirit in this business. We started singing together on that tour.”
The two keep supporting each other as two female artists in a male-dominated rock scene. Amy previously explained:
“We love supporting each other. Lzzy and I were talking about this recently, and I’m going to steal [her] answer a little bit. Just talking about it feels really good to blast the stereotype that women can’t support each other and get along. It’s just really untrue. We need each other. Every strong woman has a friend helping her get through it and process.”
In 2021, Halestorm and Evanescence went on tour together in the United States. It looks like it will be a busy year for Lzzy as she will also be the new touring singer of Skid Row for their upcoming shows.
