The universes of Lynda Carter‘s Wonder Woman and Eric Kripke’s The Boys could be on a collision course, all in the name of Kamala Harris. The 2024 Presidential Election has brought an influx of celebrity involvement, with all corners of pop culture intertwined on both sides of the political spectrum. With Harris securing her party’s nomination at the recent Democratic National Convention, her next goal is to secure the presidency against Donald Trump in the November election.
Two familiar names in Hollywood, Carter and Kripke, would like to see Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, punch their ticket to the White House. Carter has been actively engaged in a campaign for the president and vice presidential hopefuls called “Geeks and Nerds for Harris Walz.” This prompted Carter to put a call to action on social media, hoping to draw in more support for her cause, something that caught the eye of Kripke, inspiring a monumental crossover idea. To kick off the interaction, Carter took to X, writing:
“I’m putting out the bat signal for a special meeting… We’re assembling to avenge our rights. Geeks and Nerds for Harris Walz. Need our finest superheroes. Need YOU. Who’s with me?”
Kripke Pitches A Crossover Across Several Shows
Following Carter’s social media plea to join her campaign to elect Harris and Walz, Kripke responded, pitching a generational crossover with significant fan appeal. In his tweet, he mentioned that he created both Supernatural and The Boys and subsequently suggested a hypothetical crossover featuring characters from those two shows and Wonder Woman.
While The Boys showrunner is probably not about to bring this impressive crossover to screens, the implications of such a crossover featuring all three shows could be massive. The idea of Wonder Woman facing off against Homelander is salivating enough, but The Boys and Supernatural have more than just a showrunner in common. Both Jensen Ackles and Jeffrey Dean Morgan have appeared in both shows, and there is now talk of the final member of the trinity, Jared Padalecki, also joining The Boys in its upcoming final season.
According to Deadline, one of Kripke’s key characters in The Boys, Homelander, is a small screen parallel to Kamala Harris’ 2024 opponent, Donald Trump. With Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman on the diametrically opposite side of the political sphere, a showdown between the two powerful characters could be just as polarizing for viewers as the two candidates are.
While this crossover’s fruition doesn’t appear likely, Kripke is undoubtedly having fun stoking intrigue on social media. The Boys broke streaming records with its most recent seasons, so a crossover of this magnitude could create juggernaut ratings in a different atmosphere. Carter is all in, though, replying to the tweet, stating, “Let’s go, Boys.”
