Poison singer Bret Michaels earlier offered his private jet to Lou Gramm, but the Foreigner singer recently declined it.
In a new interview with Kiki Classic Rock, the singer had a chat about his band’s inclusion into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
While chatting about Michaels and how big of a fan and a supporter he was of Foriegner, Gramm detailed the free jet offer and explained h-why he turned it down:
“He made an offer but I thought I was going to have a show the night before the Rock Hall and he offered to fly me in his personal jet which I thought was outrageous and I was going to accept and we decided that I wanted to be in my best voice possible for the Rock Hall so we declined the show the night before and I’m driving.”
Michaels’ Offer
The Poison singer posted a photo with Gramm to celebrate his birthday and shared a photo from his private jet. He revealed that he wanted to bring Gramm to Foreigner’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony.
He wrote in the caption:
“In honor of my friend Lou Gramm’s birthday today, I’m making a birthday gift offer for Lou to join me at the arena show just outside Washington DC on September 18 and then fly him on my plane at no expense, where I personally assure him of delicious snacky treats & beverages and will personally make sure he’s delivered for Foreigner’s well-deserved induction into the Rock Hall… I’ll talk with you all tomorrow at 9 am PST on The Show on Rock 105.3 with my daughter Raine & all the awesome hosts – San Diego Seals rock!”
Who Is Attending The Ceremony?
Foreigner was inducted into the Hall Of Fame weeks after the initial announcement of inductees, following protests from rockers who felt the band was overlooked.
Mick Jones later emailed Billboard and said he had no hard feelings towards Lou Gramm and that they had performed together at the 40th anniversary concert. He mentioned the importance of letting go of negativity and moving forward in life.
Altough Jones mentioned that he plans to attend the ceremony, it is not clear whether Gramm would join Foreigner on stage.
