Lisa Marie Presley was born to Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley on Feb. 1, 1968. She was an only child until her mother gave birth to her half-brother, Navarone, in 1987. She inherited Elvis’ estate at the age of nine when he died in 1977, including the world-famous Graceland, which was worth $10 million at the time of her 25th birthday, when she legally got control over it. Like her dad, Lisa Marie embarked on a singing career and released three albums throughout the 2000s.
Lisa’s personal life was tumultuous. She married four times, first to musician Danny Keough from 1988 until 1994. They had two children, Riley, in 1989, and Benjamin, in 1992. She then went on to marry world-famous singer Michael Jackson in 1994 but they divorced in 1996.
She was also married to actor Nicolas Cage from 2002 until 2014, and she later married her guitarist, Michael Lockwood in 2006. She and Lockwood had twin girls Harper and Finley in 2008 before they divorced in 2016.
Through the years, the star struggled with addiction, credited her kids with keeping her clean in the mid-2010s. Lisa Marie’s only son Benjamin died by his own hand in 2020. The star passed away on Jan. 12, 2023, after suffering cardiac arrest.
