Oasis’ Liam Gallagher has responded to the criticism over the band’s ticket prices.
When Oasis Mania, a fan page on X, shared the Oasis promo in the US, a user asked if the band was ripping off the US fans as well. Liam Gallagher chimed in, stating “Zip it you c*nt.”
Another user responded to Liam’s reply with “Oh the media gonna have a field day with this one.”
“Don’t dish it out if you can’t handle it back,” Liam responded to the user.
While the tickets were originally set to be sold at £148, fans had to pay more than double the price because of dynamic pricing. The band said in a statement that they leave ticketing and pricing decisions to their promoters and management, and they had no idea dynamic pricing would be used.
Later in a different statement, the band members clarified that they wouldn’t be using dynamic pricing for their US shows and that they could get the tickets for a similar price.
Still, this didn’t sit well with a few people because they thought the band was doing the shows for money. In a previous statement, Liam explained that they weren’t doing it for money. “There’s lots of reasons for doing it family fans music biblical vibrations and curly wurlys as that’s what I’m getting paid in so all those money rumours are just not true,” he responded to a fan on X.
Oasis will start their tour on July 4, 2025, at Cardiff Principality Stadium.
