In a recent tweet, Liam Gallagher addressed the Oasis sketch on SNL.
When a fan sent him the 3-minute sketch and asked if he had seen it, Liam replied by saying, “Are they meant to be comedians?”
So, the singer didn’t seem to like the sketch considering his harsh response. Starring Sarah Sherman as Liam and James Austin as Noel, the sketch joked about their years of fighting and the recently announced Oasis reunion tour.
In the sketch, they only agreed on their favorite cartoon characters and ‘Sex and the City’ boyfriends. Their fight supposedly started when Noel mocked Liam’s ‘crooked nob’ in front of the Spice Girls at Wembley Stadium in 1993.
Talk of an Oasis reunion started this summer, after 15 years apart. The band split in 2009 when the brothers had a fight before a concert in Paris, leading to Noel leaving the group. Since then, their feud has been well-known. Liam previously sued Noel and both insulted each other in the media.
Oasis announced their long-awaited reunion tour in late August. The tour will start in September 2025 with several shows in the UK, followed by performances in North America, Europe, and Australia.
Gallagher faced criticism for his singing last month at a boxing match at Wembley Stadium. It was his first live show since the Oasis reunion was announced. After fans complained, he angrily fired back in a post on X.
“To all those SH*TCUNTS who were crying about my ANGELIC TONES last night you ain’t real fans your just IMPOSTERS,” the singer wrote. “And if you do have tickets you wanna get rid off I’ll gladly take them off your hands we don’t want the likes of you at our concerts nxt year any way LF*CKING.”
Liam recently hinted that Oasis might release new music after their tour. He told a fan they should focus on the concerts first. It sparked speculation that he and his brother could save new songs for the reunion. Fans believe Noel has written many Oasis-style songs and may release an album after the tour.
