Liam Gallagher denied Oasis documentary rumors on X.
“How’s the new doco filming going?” a fan asked the singer. He replied, “We’re not doing 1. I’m not gonna be in it anyway I’m doing the gigs there’s been enough said about this band it’s’time to get Rocking and Rolling not yapping and scrapping.”
After a fan commented, “no need for interviews,” Liam added, “Exactly we’ve been over this bollox a million times and some people have different versions to others we’re back and that’s all that matters to me and should donto the REAL fans of the band.”
There are no official plans for a documentary yet, but reports say Apple TV+, Netflix, and Amazon are interested in making a film about the Gallagher brothers’ reunion and tour. Oasis was already featured in the 2016 documentary ‘Oasis: Supersonic,’ where both brothers gave interviews.
Oasis first announced their reunion tour in August with U.K. dates for next summer. They’ve now added North American shows, including stops in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” the band shared while announcing their reunion news to the world.
There’s no info yet on an opening act, but details will come closer to the dates. Blossoms is one of the bands that have been rumored to be the opening act. The band’s frontman Tom Ogden recently responded to it in a chat with NME.
“Nothing has been discussed, nothing has been asked; I don’t think they’ll sort it out until next year. It’s sold out,” the singer said. “They don’t need to announce the supports. I’d like to think our name might be in the mix because why not? We’ve never shied away from saying how much they’ve influenced us.”
Oasis will kick off their first show on July 4, 2025, at Cardiff Principality Stadium.
