Lauren Sánchez loves a statement dress.
The journalist and philanthropist, 54, stepped out in yet another head-turning look on June 9 in West Hollywood for a girls’ night out with Brooks Nader and Elsa Collins. For the evening, Sánchez wore a formfitting black latex midi dress with spaghetti straps. She carried a metallic silver bag and wore black mesh heels. She capped the look off with a necklace, hoop earrings and oversize wire-frame glasses.
This latex bears a striking resemblance to the red latex look she wore for her son Nikko Gonzalez’s college graduation, which she revisited on June 5.
Sánchez looked back at the commemorative milestone with an Instagram post of her son, 23, whom she shares with ex-husband Tony Gonzalez. In the Instagram, she wears a Versace latex minidress from the label’s spring/summer 2022 collection, which is now sold out. The bodycon design features a center cutout, sweetheart neckline and spaghetti straps with the brand’s signature gold Medusa medallion. The back of the dress, which originally retailed for $2,575, also has gold zipper hardware.

One of Sánchez’s most impressive looks as of late, though, was her gown for the Met Gala in May. For her debut at fashion’s biggest night, she walked the steps on the arm of fiancé Jeff Bezos wearing a custom Oscar de la Renta gown with a floral, shattered-glass-inspired skirt.
It was partially inspired Louis Comfort Tiffany’s iconic glasswork, according to Vogue. Sánchez told the outlet of her dress, “In my head, it’s definitely a metaphor for life, because it’s a little bit about all your broken pieces in life and putting those pieces back together. It’s not just a dress. It is really a piece of art.”

She opted for simple glam and a relaxed hairstyle, letting her dress do all the work for the evening. She didn’t even really accessorize, keeping her jewels to a minimum. As she told Vogue, her “best accessory” is Bezos.
