Although Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland is already on the way, the MCU will be introducing a new webslinger sooner rather than later. Made a pop culture iconic in the Spider-Verse films, Miles Morales is now considered a staple version of Spider-Man alongside Peter Parker. Although the MCU has only hinted at his existence before, it seems Marvel Studios is gearing up to introduce him soon after the third Spider-Verse film.
While attending D23 Brazil, Omelete spoke to Kevin Feige about when we could expect Miles Morales to enter the MCU. His next appearance on the big screen will be in the highly-anticipated Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, the third film in the animated trilogy led by Shameik Moore. Feige confirmed that while Miles Morales occupies the big screen in animated form, he won’t be in live-action. However, soon after the release of Beyond the Spider-Verse, the Marvel Studios president hopes to bring him into the MCU. His words:
“Miles will appear in the third ‘Spider-Verse’ movie, which is in production. I hope that, shortly after that, he can enter the MCU in live-action”
Feige doesn’t reveal in which project Miles Morales will show up in, but it’s safe to say he will be a significant part of the MCU going forward. The main thing complicating this is the fact Beyond the Spider-Verse was delayed from its initial 2024 release date earlier this year, and still does not have an official schedule. To that point, many expect the film to bow out in theaters sometime in 2025, as its currently in production. That said, there is certainly a possibility that the next Holland-led Spider-Man trilogy could introduce Miles Morales at some point, and perhaps in Avengers: Secret Wars.
Miles Morales is a Busy Spider-Man
Until his inevitable introduction to the MCU, Miles Morales has been a busy webslinger as of late. In addition to the Spider-Verse films, which are record-breaking box office hits, the superhero was featured in Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 and in his own video game spinoff, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. He is set to headline the upcoming third and final installment of the game franchsie after the retirement of Peter Parker. On the comics side of things, he recently got a series titled Miles Morales: Spider-Man. He can also be seen in the kid-friendly animated series Spidey and His Amazing Friends, along with a bevy of other Spider-Man characters.

Spider-Man 4 Gets Rumored Plot Synopsis & Title Based on Controversial Comic Book
A new rumor may have just revealed the MCU sequel’s title and plot synopsis.
It’s safe to say Miles has become a main version of Spider-Man amidst the grand multiverse, so his introduction into the MCU was always inevitable. However, if he indeed pops up soon after Beyond the Spider-Verse, that could mean Holland’s time as the only MCU Spidey could be up. Every report indicates a new trilogy is on its way, and he’ll be teaming up with another Marvel character in Spider-Man 4. Although it will unlikely be Miles Morales at this point, future films could serve as the most likely avenue for Miles’ MCU introduction. Avengers: Secret Wars is always an option, but that feels far too grand and emotionally disconnected to be the first time Miles is in live-action.
