Deadpool & Wolverine became the biggest Marvel movie since 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, so Kevin Feige’s comments ahead of D23 Brazil about the pair’s possible inclusion in future projects are probably not the most surprising. While there have been several rumors about Hugh Jackman being eyed to continue as Wolverine beyond Avengers: Secret Wars, and Ryan Reynolds’ fourth Deadpool movie is also in contention, it seems that we could possibly see more from the dynamic duo before either of these projects.
Feige spoke to Omelete before the Marvel Studios panel at the Disney event on Saturday, and was asked the simple question of what plans are being looked at to bring Deadpool and Wolverine back for more MCU screen time. He said in response:
The plans with Deadpool and Wolverine will always be the same: we are always wondering where we can fit them, and how fast.
This makes perfect sense, as Jackman has previously noted that he is not getting any younger and Marvel will want to make the most of the character while they can. Although we all know that he will be doing this until he is 90, so there are still many years of Wolverine goodness to come.
Deadpool & Wolverine Are Coming to Disney+…But Then What?
Deadpool & Wolverine has revived the Marvel franchise – at least until next year – and now it is set to do the same on Disney+ with the movie arriving on the platform on November 12. While it seems like there is no one who has not seen the movie yet, there is little doubt that the Disney+ chart is going to be dominated by the incredibly popular characters for at least the next few weeks.
That kind of popularity is always going to mean that Marvel Studios want to milk them for all they are worth. However, it is clear that Feige is working hard to make sure that wherever they do turn up next – and there is no way that they will not turn up again – they will be somewhere that makes sense and fits with the grander MCU plan. Of course, without knowing exactly what is going on behind the scenes at Marvel Studios, and those movies and shows we do not necessarily know about yet, it is hard to imagine where exactly that might be.

Ryan Reynolds Says Marvel Is ‘Obsessed’ With This X-Men Hero’s Revival in Deadpool & Wolverine
Marvel loved this X-Men character just as much as the fans.
While Kevin Feige is looking to try and give fans what they want in the MCU, last week Ryan Reynolds may have admitted that he is currently putting a spoke in the gears by actively working on a non-MCU project with everyone’s favorite Aussie. He revealed:
“I’m spending the year writing. I’m writing a movie for myself, Hugh [Jackman] and Shawn [Levy] to do that is not Marvel.”
Depending on how long it takes Reynolds to work out this new script, that could have an impact on any future appearances by either of the MCU’s new arrivals. In the end, though, when Feige comes calling, it is likely that Reynolds and Jackman will be there to answer the call, no matter when that is and what else they have on their slate at the time. Hopefully, Feige’s sooner rather than later comments turn out to be true.
