REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin thinks the current drama inside the band is way more complicated than what it appears to be online.
In the peace message he shared on Facebook a few days ago, the rocker clarified that the ‘bumps in the road’ could never alter the band’s legacy. However, the fans weren’t happy with the message. More recently, the rocker responded to some of these fan concerns.
A user commented that Cronin was trying to ‘minimize’ the drama by calling it ‘bumps’ and he already altered the legacy. “Your feelings are valid, of course… but the situation is more complicated than what is being circulated online. It is musical, personal, and private,” the rocker responded.
Another fan shared a lengthy comment, saying it wasn’t the ending she expected but the band still meant everything to her. “I will be touring with the band you saw in 2024, but the tour will be under my name. Same songs, same band, just a different name. Your message means a lot. Stay tuned,” Cronin responded to the fan.
The comments came after bassist Bruce Hall made a post to ensure that there was no drama in the band. “Brother to Brother… Husband to Wife. Sure wish we could Build this Bridge,” he wrote in the caption of the 13-year-old picture he shared on Facebook. The picture included him and Cronin together.
The band announced on September 16 that they would stop touring for good. They stated that the decision was due to ‘irreconcilable differences.’ As a result, fans speculated about possible drama within the band.
The band’s next show is in Eugene, Oregon on October 23. The tour ends at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 21.
