Jon Bon Jovi is getting ready to hit the stages back but in ‘a controlled manner.’
In a new interview with Today, the Bon Jovi singer was asked if he would like to get back on the road. He replied:
“Yeah, in a controlled manner regardless of how great I can sing or not.”
But don’t get your hopes too high — Jon also revealed he wouldn’t be doing a ‘240-show tour’ ever again:
“I don’t think there’s ever gonna be a 240-show tour ever again, but when I look to the Stones, U2, Bruce [Springsteen], I can do that.”
Jon Is ‘More Than Capable Of Singing’
In 2022, the rocker had surgery on his vocal cords. One of his vocal cords had shrunk to the size of a thumb, while the other had become as thin as a pinky finger. This made singing difficult because the stronger cord was overpowering the weaker one. Jon is getting back to performing live step by step though. However, it seems to be a struggle.
The rocker spoke to People and discussed his journey back to performing after vocal cord surgery. He said he was getting back ‘step by step’ and that everything seemed good for now:
“We performed last night in Nashville, and everything was very good. So step by step, I’m getting back to it.”
Jon’s Looking Forward To A Tour Next Year
In March this year, the rocker said in another interview that his health would be the determining factor as to whether or not he could tour again. But he also admitted that he wants to do a tour next year if he gets better:
“I don’t know about a tour. It is my desire to do a tour next year, but I’m just still recovering from a major surgery.”
