Richie Sambora doesn’t seem to be happy with how he’s shown in the upcoming Bon Jovi documentary series.
In earlier interviews chatting about the documentary, Jon Bon Jovi mentioned he watched the episodes with Sambora and said there was no bad blood between them. However, Sambora’s representative seems to have a different take on things.
In a new interview with People, they claimed Sambora didn’t like a few things about the documentary and sees things differently from how they are shown in the movie:
“He didn’t like the way he was being cast. He disagrees with how they framed his departure from the band and to him, the currency of happiness is more important than the currency of money.”
What Jon Bon Jovi Thinks Of Sambora
Even though they’re not bandmates anymore, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora have hung out together privately. About their time together, Jon said:
“He came over and watched three parts of the docuseries at my house.”
He also explained their relationship:
“There’s never animosity.”
Is A Reunion Possible?
After Sambora left, Bon Jovi got Phil X onboard as their new guitarist. He had filled in for Sambora before in 2011.
Sambora’s comeback has been a topic among fans for long, and both sides are open to it. Sambora said in an interview:
“[A reunion] definitely could happen. It’s just a question of when everybody’s ready to go do it. It’s time to do it.”
Although the two don’t have any bad blood, Jon shared that he doesn’t think Sambora will return to Bon Jovi. The singer made it clear that nobody in the band is expecting him to come back:
“There’s always an opportunity. He knows three-quarters of the songs, but it’s not that I’m looking for that, or he’s looking for that, or anybody’s looking for that.”
