Mötley Crüe guitarist just teased a new song, and it sounds ‘like a little old Aerosmith.’
On the August 14 episode of SiriusXM’s ‘Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk,’ the guitarist revealed the band will release a new single soon, and it’s an original Mötley Crüe song.
“Yes. Yeah. And it’s so cool. It reminds me of… It’s just like a little old Aerosmith,” he said. “I don’t know. It’s just that Mötley cool riff. And Nikki [Sixx] is just amazing with that melody and all that stuff. He’s just incredible with those lyrics and melodies. So I’m really excited for the song to come out. I think people are going to super, super dig it.”
In late July, Nikki Sixx revealed that the band had already recorded a few songs and were planning to release them soon.
“When somebody takes a conversation of mine and they say, ‘Hey, are you planning on going in the studio?’ And I say, ‘We don’t see a reason to go in the studio right now,’” he explained during an earlier interview with Rock 102.1 KFMA. “‘Cause we just recorded three songs [in April 2023]. We were just in the recording studio. We have a second single coming. We have a third single coming. So we’re not in a rush to… Vince [Neil] lives in Tennessee. I live in Wyoming. We’re on tour.”
The rockers’ latest original release is a new track called ‘Dogs Of War.’ It dropped on April 26 through the band’s new partnership with Nashville’s Big Machine Records. The music video for the song is a fully animated CGI creation directed by Nick DenBoer.
Alongside ‘Dogs Of War,’ Mötley Crüe’s April 2023 sessions with their longtime producer Bob Rock also produced a new track called ‘Canceled’ and a cover of Beastie Boys’ ‘(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!).’ These two tracks haven’t been released yet.
