Mötley Crüe just signed up with Big Machine Records before their new single, ‘Dogs of War.’ It’s their first new song since 2019. The rockers shared the news of the deal with a new video on YouTube.
This deal marks a fresh start for the Crüe. However, in the video, they complete the deal by getting the signatures of Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and Vince Neil. John 5 doesn’t appear in the video, and his signature is not taken. The video might sign that John 5 is not included in the band’s business decisions.
Mötley Crüe’s New Song
The video came just an hour after Motley Crue announced that they were entering a new phase with their upcoming track. It’s their first new song since Mick Mars took a break from touring in 2022.
They teased the song on social media with an eerie image. In the picture, all members appear like zombies, lined up on a deserted road with smoke in the background.
The track will be the band’s first song with John 5, and it drops this Friday, April 26th.
‘The Boss’ Role In Mötley Crüe
In a chat with American Musical Supply, John 5 talked about what it takes to rock it in a big band like Mötley Crüe. He stepped into Mick Mars’ shoes and pointed out that it’s not just about being a great musician; it’s more about being reliable and true to yourself too. He also added that he had to understand who the boss was in the band:
“I think that it’s so imperative because being good at your job — being a good guitar player, or a bass player, drummer, singer — that’s half of it. But the other half — you got to live with these people, so you have to be a good person. You have to understand who the boss is; you have to be on time — you know, just be a good person because you’re around these people all the time, and you’re only on stage an hour and a half a night.”
