Ariana Grande and Jimmy Fallon’s friendship is coming full circle, all thanks to a sweatshirt.
The 30-year-old songstress appeared on the Thursday, June 6 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and was surprised when the host, 49, rounded out the segment by gifting her a sweatshirt with his baby photo on it.
“Years ago you gave me one of the nicest things ever, I don’t know if you remember even giving me this,” said Fallon as he pulled out a white crewneck sweatshirt that featured an adorable photo of Grande as a baby.
“You gave me a sweatshirt with your baby picture on it. It’s so cute and I loved it so much.”
The Nickelodeon alum was shocked by the reveal and laughed as she remarked, “I look exactly the same.”
To return the favor of Grande’s previous gift, Fallon presented the singer with a similar sweatshirt with a photo of himself at five years old.
“I wanted to give you a little something too,” he said. “This is a sweatshirt for you. This is me, I was five years old.”
The host, who is wearing a sailor costume in the baby photo, also joked, “I was in the Navy.”

Grande was delighted by the surprise and said, “I’m gonna cherish this, I love this so much.”
She then held it up and mouthed to the audience, “It’s my favorite thing ever.”
During her interview, the duo also discussed her new album Eternal Sunshine and upcoming role as Glinda in the film adaption of Wicked.
Fallon called attention to a tweet Grande posted back in 2011 about her “dream role” in the production, which is based on the 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire.

“I found a tweet that you put out in 2011 by the way,” the host said as he held up a card showing the singer’s post, which read, “Loved seeing Wicked again … amazing production! Made me realize again how badly I want 2 play Glinda at some point in my life! #DreamRole.”
“You did it!” Fallon exclaimed as the audience cheered.
“It’s just so surreal to see, of course, the response. You know, this is something that Cynthia and I lived every single day. The brilliant Cynthia Erivo,” Grande said of the public’s response to the film’s trailer, which was released on May 15. “And you know it was ours for so long and it was just every single day for such a long time.”
