A floral dress in the springtime is like the Friends theme song: It’s something that’s always there for you.
Speaking of, that’s exactly what we saw in the very first photo of one of Jennifer Aniston’s recent Instagram photo dumps — well, sort of. We could only see the tiniest bit of her black spaghetti strap dress in her close-up, but according to the brand, she was wearing the Reformation Kourtney Dress, which costs $278.
Aniston was blooming in Reformation, but other stars have planted the seeds before her: Jennifer Lopez wore two dresses from the brand during her European travels in 2022, while Sarah Jessica Parker reached for a floral dress from it last spring. Taylor Swift and Blake Lively, on the other hand, have worn a Reformation cardigan and overalls, respectively. And, according to the brand, other fans include Jennifer Lawrence, Gabrielle Union, Olivia Rodrigo, and Miley Cyrus.
Besides the seasonality of flowers, there are other reasons to wear a floral dress in the spring. Nobody wants their clothing to stick to their thighs, underarms, or backs, so a lightweight option that’s airy keeps the breeze flowing when it starts to get hot. They’re a one-and-done style that causes less decision fatigue when putting on an outfit.

Reformation Kourtney Dress
Though you can’t tell from Aniston’s photos, her dress was a midi length, which is right on target with what other stars are wearing this season. There’s also a slit on one side that dolls it up for summer weddings, while the stretchy back will help with comfort while sitting, standing, and dancing after the nuptials. Aniston’s black color is no longer available, but this green version would be flawless for a garden ceremony.

This Amazon dress is a more informal way to wear the pattern: It’s not as tight on the body, and it’s “lightweight and perfect for [a] summer day,” according to one shopper. The straps are also thin, like Aniston’s, and the buttons can tailor the neckline to be higher or lower-cut. Sizes S to XL are available, and there’s three floral variations and three with polka dots, which is another “in” pattern right now.

This high-low style is almost both a maxi and midi dress, and the rayon fabric should also be flattering around the stomach and legs since it’s not clingy. “Living where it’s over 100 degrees for three months a year, this dress fit my need for something light [and] easy to wear,” one shopper said. Plus, it has a “great fit for someone larger chested,” they added.
