Jeff Pilson has some new plans about Foreigner.
In a new interview with Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, Pilson spoke about Foreigner’s farewell tour. The bassist revealed a few things when asked if it is bittersweet for him to play his final shows. As it seems, Foreigner will write new music and perform in places like casinos:
“We will still do some dates in ’25. They’re gonna be select, probably more corporate, maybe some casinos, but much, much lighter schedule — way lighter schedule. So it’s not over with yet, and there’s also some music that we’re gonna try and finish up in 2025, which would be great, some songs that have been kicking around that we need to finish.”
Foreigner Has More Plans After Final Tour
The 2023 performances of the ‘Feels Like The Last Time Farewell Tour’ were rumored to be the band’s last performances. However, in September Pilson revealed the band would continue touring until the end of 2024. Before this recent interview, Pilson stated that they would still be playing live even after the end of their farewell tour. He said in a chat with ‘The Rock Experience with Mike Brunn’:
“And just because we’re doing a farewell tour doesn’t mean that we’re doing a complete retirement. I mean, we still may do occasional shows here and there — you know, special events or whatever. It’s just this is the end of that ‘nine months in the year you’re on the road’ kind of thing.”
The Current Tour Lineup
The tour’s current lineup features Mick Jones, Pilson, Kelly Hansen, Michael Bluestein, Bruce Watson, Chris Frazier, and Luis Maldonado. However, Jones’ participation in the live performances varied due to his health condition as he underwent heart surgery in 2012.
