Jason Statham is now one of the most beloved action heroes…but The Beekeeper star isn’t always on the right side of the law. The Stath brings his affinity for villainy to one of the most successful franchises of all time in Furious 7, which is all set to stream for free from this weekend.
Statham first featured in the Fast and Furious franchise in the previous installment, Fast & Furious 6, in a blink-and-you-miss-it mid-credits scene which quickly demonstrates how formidable his character, Deckard Shaw, really is. After seemingly killing one of Dominic Toretto’s beloved family members, Han (Sung Kang), Furious 7 finds Statham starring as the main antagonist and out for revenge, hunting Dom and the gang across the globe. Furious 7 is all set to stream for free on Tubi from Saturday, November 16, and you can check out the official synopsis below.
“After defeating international terrorist Owen Shaw, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) and the rest of the crew have separated to return to more normal lives. However, Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), Owen’s older brother, is thirsty for revenge. A slick government agent offers to help Dom and company take care of Shaw in exchange for their help in rescuing a kidnapped computer hacker who has developed a powerful surveillance program.”
Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw Will Be Back for Fast & Furious 11
Directed by James Wan and written by Chris Morgan, Furious 7 stars an ensemble cast including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Djimon Hounsou, Kurt Russell, and Jason Statham. The sequel is the final film role of Walker, who tragically died in a car crash on November 30, 2013. The movie not only works surprisingly well as a sentimental send-off for both Paul Walker and his character Brian O’Conner, it was also met with acclaim from both critics and audiences alike, and holds a rating of 82% from both camps on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Fast and Furious franchise, meanwhile, is all set to wrap up with the upcoming Fast and Furious 11, aka Fast XI, aka Fast X: Part 2. The finale is now expected to be released in 2026, with Statham returning alongside Vin Diesel and the rest of the core cast. Plot details currently remain unknown.

Jason Statham and Jet Li’s 2007 Action Thriller Should’ve Been a Hit, so What Went Wrong?
Two of the biggest names in action, Jason Statham and Jet Li, should have made War a hit, but the film fell flat with critics and the box office.
Alongside his Fast and Furious return, Jason Statham continues to fly the flag for action, reuniting with director David Ayer and writer Sylvester Stallone for next year’s Levon’s Trade. Based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Chuck Dixon, the action outing follows Statham as Levon Cade, a former counter-terrorism expert who leaves his violent career behind to work in construction and be a good father. But, when a local girl goes missing, Levon is asked to return to his skills and hunt for her.
Fans are also hoping to see Statham return to protect the hive in The Beekeeper 2, with director David Ayer equally buzzing to return. The Stath is also set to lead Mutiny from Plane director Jean-François Richet and could be gearing up for a return to The Expendables franchise.
