The White Stripes singer Jack White spoke about politics and a recent incident Donald Trump was involved in.
The rocker took to Instagram to comment about Trump selling Bibles. But these Bibles were different than the usual. Trump encouraged his supporters to get a copy of the ‘Americanized’ version of the book. He wrote:
“Happy Holy Week! Let’s Make America Pray Again. As we lead into Good Friday and Easter, I encourage you to get a copy of the God Bless The USA Bible.”
White wrote in the caption that it was Trump’s way to pay his ‘criminal debts’:
“Don’t forget to purchase the new Trump Bible this Easter! Just as the Lord intended: for his word to be held (and sold) in high regard by such a holy man who is without sin, and without any sacrilege whatsoever! If you act now, your Bible purchase dollars can help pay off The Orange Jesus’s criminal debts! Happy Holy Week! (*and what is that old saying about when the Anti-Christ comes he will be wrapped in the flag and holding a bible? something like that I can’t recall…)”
White Criticized Other Celebrities For Supporting Trump
White has said he doesn’t like Trump before. In July last year, he slammed the celebrities who support Trump and his actions. He called out all the mentioned parties for ‘normalizing’ Trump and said whoever supported him was disgusting in his books.
The singer shared a series of photos on his Instagram with the caption:
“Anybody who ‘normalizes’ or treats this disgusting fascist, racist, con man, disgusting piece of s— Trump with any level of respect is ALSO disgusting in my book. That’s you Joe Rogan, you Mel Gibson, you Mark Walhberg, you Guy Fieri. This is a statement from me, not a discussion/debate.”
Elon Musk was also one of the names White criticized.
Trump had been permanently banned on X after the Capitol riot to stop more violence from happening. White left Twitter when Elon Musk brought Trump’s account back. He responded to the incident and wrote:
“So you gave Trump his Twitter platform back. Absolutely disgusting, Elon. That is officially an asshole move. Why don’t you be truthful? Tell it like it is. People like you and Joe Rogan (who gives platforms to liars like Alex Jones etc.); you come into a ton of money, see the tax bill, despise paying your fair share, and then think moving to Texas and supporting whatever republican you can is going to help you keep more of your money (How else could Trump possibly interest you?)”
