Elie Saab’s “The 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab” runway show was exactly the starry, over-the-top, fashion-filled affair we had all been waiting for since the end of awards season and fashion month.
Today, the Lebanese designer showed her latest collection in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in a showy event that included an electric performance by none other than . The was the opening act of the show, and she made quite an entrance standing atop a floating stage adorned with a white, bedazzled arch covered in feathers.
J.Lo matched her glittery white stage in a glittery white fit. It was a silver metallic bodysuit with a plunging neckline. She wore it over transparent tights and paired it with shimmery silver heeled boots. For an , the “On the Floor” singer wore an icy cape with bedazzled fringe that matched the ’20s flapper-esque looks on the runway and made her look like an angel who flew in straight from Hollywood. Her hair was styled in her signature bombshell waves, and she accessorized with diamond jewelry.
Later into her performance, she traded her cape for an oversize white fur coat—à la Mrs. Santa.
Lopez kicked off her performance with a rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive,” followed by her own version of “Waiting for Tonight.” With the second song, she dove from her floating stage into a sea of men in black tuxedos, who carried her onto the main stage. She also performed her hits “On The Floor” and “Let’s Get Loud.”
Celine Dion also performed at the show, while Halle Berry strutted down the runway in a design by Saab.
