Content creator Tyler Champagne doesn’t share photos of his 2-year-old son on social media. Instead, he does Oscar-worthy impressions.
Earlier this year, Champagne, who soared to internet stardom with his side-splitting videos about parenthood, launched a series called “Toddler Motivational Podcast.”
“My feed was full of real motivational podcast clips, where they’re saying the most absurd things and they’re taking themselves so seriously,” Champagne, 32, tells . “And I was like, it would be so funny to imagine a toddler doing a motivational podcast.”
Champagne’s first installment went viral with more than 22 million views on. In the video, he sits at a table with a microphone and addresses his audience as if he’s reading an excerpt from his self-help book.
“I don’t sleep. Sleep is for elderly people like my parents, in their 30s,” Champagne begins, as dramatic instrumental music plays in the background. “When I’m sleeping, I’m not causing chaos. When I’m awake, I can continually cause chaos,” he says.
“You want to know what I had for breakfast today? I licked one grape. That’s all I need. I don’t need food. Food is a waste of time. When I’m chewing, when I’m swallowing, I’m not causing chaos,” Champagne notes. And same goes for staying hydrating — it’s a total waste of time. He holds water in his mouth and spits it on his shirt.
“I took a 10 minute nap in the car today. That’s all I need. My parents wanted me to sleep longer. Guess what? At highway speeds, it’s like 60x the amount of sleep. It’s like napping in dog years,” he says in the video.
Next, the toddler takes a shot at his mom who tried to put his pants on the “right” way.
“I was like, ‘Excuse me, Miss. I don’t subscribe to the traditional pants system. I’m a pockets on the front type of guy,” he says. He ends with a line you’ll want to stitch on a pillow: “Break the mold, mom you’re old, I’m the reason your coffee’s cold.”
“Not my baby clapping listening to this,” one person wrote in the comments.
Added another, “This is a shirt that needs to be made. Here is your merch. Toddler Math: Time = Chaos.”
Other reactions included:
-
“My toddler just pointed to this video and said ‘THIS’, and then peed on the table.”
-
“The ‘lick one grape’ got me. How do they keep growing but they never ever EVER eat? Maybe chaos is all the nourishment they need.”
-
“I’ve got to get my son to stop listening to this podcast. It’s his daily inspiration.”
-
“I’m currently being hazed by a two year old and THE ACCURACY OF THIS VIDEO IS WILD!!”
“I’m starting to think that all toddlers around the world are the same,” Champagne tells TODAY.com. “They have a universally chaotic vibe.”
The toddler is now a big brother. Champagne and his wife, who live in Toronto, welcomed a baby girl in the spring.
“He slept through the night the whole first week after we brought our daughter home,” Champagne says. “We went ‘Oh, hallelujah! The boy has fixed himself. He’s perfect now.’ And then after a week he went, ‘Hold on. I sense you guys are getting comfortable, and I don’t like that,'” and it was back to him doing gymnastics at 3 a.m.”
Sounds like he’s got his next podcast episode.
