This Is Us and Black Panther star Sterling K. Brown finds himself at the center of a political conspiracy on Hulu. Titled Paradise, the plot of the new series has been a big mystery…until now. The streaming platform has finally unveiled the official trailer for the political thriller series, and it promises to be a gripping ride from start to finish, with the footage shrouding the narrative in mystery and intrigue. Created by Dan Fogelman, the TV series is set to premiere on January 28, and it centers around a presidential murder. You can check out the trailer below, with the official synopsis for the series reading:
“‘Paradise’ is set in a serene, wealthy community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high stakes investigation unfolds.”
In the trailer, we see Brown portraying Xavier Collins, a Secret Service agent who finds himself embroiled in a scandalous accusation – the murder of the United States president, Cal Bradford, played by James Marsden. Apparently, he’s seen walking in on Cal lying on the floor, dead, one morning, and because Collins is the last person to have seen Cal, he becomes the prime suspect in the investigation.
As the plot unfolds, we see Collins being interrogated, with intense scenes that build suspense. The trailer also jumps back to the past where he’s having interactions with President Bradford, interactions that hint at a deeper conspiracy. It ends with Brown’s character in the interrogation room, facing relentless questions from the investigator, and when asked if a part of him is happy that Cal is dead, the camera flashes to Collins, then to the interrogator, who slides her hand across the table, revealing the words “SAY YES” written on her palm. Consider us intrigued.
