Horror fans have rallied around the Syfy and USA Network series Chuckyfollowing its recent cancelation, with the #SaveChucky campaign taking the fight to social media. The passionate fanbase are not giving up hope that Chucky could be resurrected once again after the show was canceled after three seasons at the end of last month.
“bring them back to us please. we want to see more k*ller doll mayhem #SaveChucky,” says X/Twitter user and Chucky fan @bradleyberdecia, while @JanelleKendraa adds ” #SaveChucky we get the original voice of Chucky and his daughter on the same show?? Plus Tiffany, Andy and Kyle ??!!and you guys flop like that!?? this bad.. Nah !!” Horror and Chucky fan @nerdfitnews believes that there’s more that can be done to save the show, saying, “Don’t just POST about CHUCKY, a hashtag doesn’t save a show. WATCHING IT and REWATCHING IT are what actually saves a show. Give it lots of views, let it make its ad revenue, that’s how to put your money where your mouth is.”
The campaign has now begun trending here and there on X, with Chucky creator Don Mancini and franchise staple Jennifer Tilly also getting in on the action and sharing the hashtag.
It’s very possible that the #SaveChucky campaign could make a difference, with several similar fan campaigns having found success on social media in the past. Of course, the Snyder Cut was (somewhat infamously) released after a huge outcry from fans, while the likes of comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine was also brought back for more seasons on NBC after being canceled on Fox.
Chucky Could Be Shopped Around To Other Networks & Streamers
Created by Don Mancini and based on the Child’s Play franchise, the Chucky series serves as a sequel to the seventh outing in the movie series, Cult of Chucky. Beloved actor Brad Dourif came out of retirement to reprise his role as the voice of the titular character, with the likes of Zackary Arthur, Björgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Fiona Dourif, and Jennifer Tilly, making up the rest of the cast. The Chucky series has been hugely well-received by both critics and fans alike, with Season 3 sending the killer doll all the way to the White House.

Brad and Fiona say that the Chucky finale is “very special to the Dourif family” and discuss their roles in the franchise.
While we have to just wait and see whether the #SaveChucky campaign cuts through, Chucky star Fiona Dourif has since offered a hopeful update to fans that the show could be shopped around to other networks.
“I have been on the phone with Don. It was a surprise that we got canceled. At this point, what we’re hoping to do and what should be done and would be normal for a show as successful as Chucky’s been – because the ratings were solidly good and reviewed extremely well; the numbers were great at Peacock – is that it would be marketed to other networks.” She continued, “The extent that there could be pressure on the powers that be to have that happen, I think that everybody who is involved in making the show would appreciate that. There’s no reason on earth why it shouldn’t be marketed to other networks.”
