Gwen Stefani is all about resurrecting vintage pieces.
Stefani, 55, reached into the back of her closet and pulled out a vintage Vivienne Westwood corset to wear in a preview for her new music video, “Somebody Else’s,” which premiered on HSN on Tuesday, November 12. The designer top featured a structured bodice, thick straps and a rose motif. Underneath, she let a white lacy bra peek through.
Stefani paired the top with a yellow plaid blazer and low-waisted black pants. Stefani dressed up her look even more with a silver pendant necklace.
For a glamorous good measure, Stefani donned a full beat including foundation, bronzed, rosy cheeks and manicured eyebrows. Her eye makeup featured a brown shadow blended into her crease and strategically swept into her waterline. She tied her look together with smoked-out black liner, long lashes and glossy lips. Stefani’s platinum blonde tresses were parted down the middle and styled in bouncy curls.
Stefani previously wore the top while performing “Just a Girl” with her former band, No Doubt, during a 1996 episode of the Late Show with David Letterman.
At the time, Stefani paired it with a similar outfit: low-waisted charcoal pants with a white stripe down the side, a black leather belt and maroon combat boots.
Her hair was styled in a half-up coif with her bangs blown out of her forehead. Stefani rocked trendy makeup at the time, including pearly white eyeshadow, razor thin eyebrows and dark red lips.
This isn’t the first time Stefani has dug through her wardrobe to rewear a vintage outfit. In 2021, stylist and costume designer Rob Zangardi teamed up with Stefani to recreate 18 of her past looks in her “Let Me Reintroduce Myself” music video.
For the video, she rewore everything from fuzzy bras to polka dot dresses and fishnet tights.
