Green Day will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their Grammy-winning album ‘American Idiot’ with a massive box set this fall. The ‘American Idiot 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition’ is set for release on October 25.
Fans can get the ‘American Idiot 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition’ in either an 8xLP or 4xCD package. This set includes 15 unreleased demos, a live recording of the band’s 2004 concert at Irving Plaza in New York City with nine unreleased live tracks, and various B-sides and bonus tracks. Both versions come with two Blu-ray discs featuring a new 110-minute documentary, the film ‘Heart Like a Hand Grenade,’ and other live performances.
The vinyl set also includes a 36-page book, a large Green Day flag, and Billie Joe Armstrong’s red ‘American Idiot’ tie. Each LP is on a different color vinyl.
On October 25, there will also be a limited-edition color vinyl of ‘American Idiot’ and an audiophile ‘One-Step’ release of the album.
Green Day are celebrating the 20th anniversary of ‘American Idiot’ and the 30th anniversary of ‘Dookie’ on their ‘Saviors Tour.’ The tour runs through the end of September.
