It’s not all bad news, however.
The series featured the weather presenter and co-host Rita Hebden exploring the UK and the Channel Islands, meeting various interesting people on the way.
Speaking to The Sun, Beresford said: “We had a brilliant time exploring and celebrating places such as Blackpool, The Eden Project in Cornwall and Edinburgh but we won’t be making any more episodes.
“However I am working on another project for ITV, details of which will be revealed shortly.”

Beresford is one of the famous faces featured in the BBC’s upcoming series of Celebrity Race Across the World.
The show will see celebrities, paired with a loved one, competing to get from Morocco to Norway first. They will travel across 24 countries with no phones, internet or flying.
Beresford will compete with his father Noel, explaining that they had never backpacked before and wanted to challenge themselves.
The show’s premiere has been delayed by the BBC out of sensitivity for the people who died in the earthquake in Morocco, which is still an unfolding situation.

A statement from the broadcaster reads: “The BBC has announced that in light of the earthquake in Morocco, the first episode of Celebrity Race Across the World will be postponed.
“We of course started off our journey in Marrakesh – it’s a beautiful city and we were so warmly welcomed by everyone during filming. Our hearts go out to the people of the country, and our thoughts are with them.”
A rescheduled premiere date for Celebrity Race Across the World has been not announced at the current time.
