Gene Simmons recently posted on X to support Mike Tyson before his upcoming fight against Jake Paul tonight.
“My sincere best wishes tomorrow night to the one and only Champ, Mike Tyson,” the KISS bassist wrote under a photo with the boxer.
The November 15 match will take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and stream internationally on Netflix.
Fans and other rockers, including Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx, are also rooting for Tyson’s win.
“Mike Tyson is looking stronger and faster than I’ve ever seen him,” Sixx wrote in a tweet last month. “I can’t wait for this fight coming up on Netflix on November 15.”
In response to comments about Tyson’s age and his capability in the ring, he added, “I see you know a lot of boxing and Mike’s style versus an amateur. There will be blood.”
The boxer himself dismissed the focus on his age in the lead-up to the fight with the 27-year-old by telling FOX 4’s Mike Doocy, “Other people my age haven’t been training as long as me, been as consistent as me, and I’m just a different species of human being.”
Tyson last got in the ring against former boxing champ Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. The fight ended in a draw.
