Fred Durst recently joined Corey Feldman on stage at Loserville Birmingham to check if he was really playing that viral guitar solo.
The actor is one of the opening acts on Limp Bizkit’s Loserville tour, and his guitar solo has gone viral because people online think he’s faking it. Durst brought a chair onstage to watch the solo and see for himself if Feldman was really playing the guitar.
“Word on the street is Corey Feldman is not playing this guitar solo,” Fred told the audience. “I wanna know if Corey Feldman is really playing this motherf*ckin’ solo, how about you?”
Durst had Feldman play the solo, stop, and start again several times to show he wasn’t using a track. “He’s f*ckin’ doing it!” the frontman stated.
The talk has also moved to YouTube, and people are making videos about Feldman’s solo. Many fans are defending him, saying his picking style shows he’s really playing. Feldman joined the discussion too and commented on the issue.
“Actually dude I’m playing every single note of it!” Feldman wrote in a social media comment. “If that’s what you call them? I’m laughing so hard, cuz that would imply some great guitarist played it for me & I’m an air guitarist. But the best part is I’m not even that good, hence the guitar hero faces. The song is called… wait for it… ‘The Joke.’ It’s been great trollin’ ya, let’s do it again sometime!” Feldman wrote.
According to YouTuber KDH, Feldman is genuinely playing the guitar. “As a guitar player, from looking at the videos of Feldman playing, I can say 100 percent he’s not faking. He’s playing pretty badly, but he is playing,” KDH noted.
Despite Feldman’s own comments, some people still believe he’s faking. However, evidence shows the actor is really playing the guitar in his own unique style.
