Corey Feldman’s guitar solo in his new song ‘The Joke’ became a hot topic online since his 2024 summer tour with Limp Bizkit started. Foo Fighters’ Josh Freese recently joined the discussions by joking about Feldman’s guitar skills in an Instagram Story.
He posted a fake ‘breaking news’ that declared, “Corey Feldman is now the new Jane’s Addiction guitar player.”
Online rumors suggested that Feldman didn’t actually play the solo in his song and was only airplaying guitar during live shows. Fred Durst decided to join him on stage during a performance in August to see if the rumors were true.
After watching the singer play multiple times, Durst announced to the crowd, “He’s f*ckin’ doing it!” But people kept debating whether he was truly playing or not, while Feldman said that the doubt was a ‘compliment.’
His words to Guitar World read, “I guess the biggest compliment is that people are like, ‘There’s no way you’re shredding like that – it’s got to be fake!’ People say I was ‘lip-syncing the guitar,’ which is a new one to me. I didn’t even know you could do that! If I was playing with my tongue, that would work pretty well!”
The singer denied faking his guitar solo and added, “‘The Joke’ is literally my new single. It was specifically written for this tour because of the trolls and haters I’ve had to deal with throughout my music career, who refuse to believe that my music is legitimate.”
Corey Feldman rose to fame along with Corey Haim as the Two Coreys in the 1980s. He started his solo music career in 1994 with his debut album, ‘Love Left.’
