Falling In Reverse has dropped their awaited album ‘Popular Monster.’
“You know you made it when you see comments that say ‘this sounds like (current artist)’ means they are too young to realize I was doing this before that current artist and they just found me,” frontman Ronnie Radke said of the comments he received about the album. “That’s called generational.”
A user shared his thoughts on the album: “Falling in Reverse’s new album is actually just bad. It’s sooo f*cking corny. The entire album is that one Ricky Gervais speech where he’s like ‘you just can’t say that anymore’ for 10 minutes straight.”
“Shut the f*ck up p*ssy. album slaps, I’ve done so much for your punk ass scene and this is the thanks I get? So sorry I’m not making ‘horny metal’ to sing to 12 year olds that you are into right now. Hop off my meat.”
The rocker also revealed he got inspired by another band.
“‘The End Of No Fear’ is a direct homage to Suicideboys. Intentional,” he explained. “Suicideboys is one of the best out right now.”
While some thought the album was corny and didn’t have original lyrics, several fans were calling the album a ‘banger.’ “No other band or artist gets me as excited for new music like Ronnie Radke/Falling in Reverse! Every new song a rich, exciting and satisfying experience!!,” said a fan.
“One thing about falling in reverse. love em or hate em. they can WRITE extremely catchy choruses,” another added.
The band is currently on tour, so you can expect to hear a lot of these songs in their setlists. This coming week, they will be performing in Idaho and Washington, with plenty more shows lined up after that.
