Erik Grönwall, former singer of Skid Row, recently joined Europe on stage on May 23 at Gröna Lund in Stockholm, Sweden. Together they rocked out to Europe’s hit track ‘Cherokee.’ Many fans captured and shared the moment on their social media accounts.
The show came two months after he split ways with Skid Row.
Grönwall later posted some photos from Gröna Lund on his social media, and wrote:
“Thank you Europe for having me. It was an honor sharing the stage with you for a few seconds! And what an incredible show you guys did on your home turf.”
A Special Album For Grönwall
Grönwall has been battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia since March 2021. This March, he made the call to step away from Skid Row. He explained that the demands of touring weren’t compatible with his health and recovery, so he decided to choose a lifestyle that supported his well-being and family.
During two recent Skid Row gigs, their longtime friend Lzzy Hale took over lead vocals.
In a statement, the Skid Row crew said they were proud of their work with Erik over the past couple of years and wished him all the best in his health journey. In celebration, the band will release something special: A new live album. They wrote earlier:
“To celebrate the last two years, the band will be releasing a live album that perfectly captures this moment of time in the band’s 35-plus-year history, to be announced soon.”
