Former Skid Row frontman Erik Grönwall debuted an unreleased song that was supposed to appear in a Skid Row album.
“In August 2022, my producer Jona Tee and I wrote three potential songs for a new Skid Row album while I was still in the band,” the rocker revealed in a new Instagram post. “Although I don’t think this particular song would have made it onto the album, and since that album definitely won’t happen, I thought it might be fun to share this demo with you all instead.”
“Please note that this is a demo Jona and I produced and no Skid Row members are playing on this demo. A special thanks to all the fans who helped me put this video together. Full version on YT,” he added.
Skid Row parted ways with Erik Grönwall in March 2024 after completing their postponed shows due to his health issues. Grönwall later explained his decision in a Facebook post.
“Yes, I have decided to leave Skid Row. The main reason being that it’s proved difficult to prioritize my health and full recovery as the lead singer of the band,” he shared. Grönwall was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2021 and underwent a stem cell transplant that same year.
Skid Row completed their 2024 tour with Lzzy Hale as the guest vocalist. Grönwall performed for the first time after his departure at the May 23 concert in Stockholm, Sweden, at Gröna Lund.
Skid Row released their latest album before Grönwall’s departure. The band is currently searching for a permanent singer and has no plans to bring back Sebastian Bach.
