Emmerdale has aired a tense cliffhanger for Charles Anderson and his father Victor.
The two have been feuding ever since Victor was released from prison, with Charles suspecting that his father is only on his good behaviour to worm his way back into the family.
Victor has claimed that he has an unruptured aneurysm on his brain that is likely to shorten his life, leaving Charles with little grounds to kick him out.

In Monday’s (August 28) episode, Victor was horrified to find out that his mum and dad had spent the night together.
Charles was flustered as his mother insisted they’d done nothing wrong and she wanted her son to give Victor more of a chance to prove himself.
“What can I tell you? I’m irresistible,” Victor quipped.
Later, Victor’s true nature shown through when he taunted his son about winning over Claudette and then insisted Charles’s own partner “deserves so much better” than the vicar.
“Who knows? If things don’t pan out between me and your mum, I might try knocking at [Manpreet’s] door,” Victor sneered.
Charles grabbed his father by the shirt collars as he was overcome with rage, before Claudette interrupted. She actually took Victor’s side and slapped her son across the face.
“I don’t want to see you again until you’re ready to apologise, you shameful boy,” Claudette demanded.
Back at home, Manpreet worried Charles’s parents were “getting to him” and suggested he ask them to move out. Charles resisted until Manpreet warned him that their own relationship was on the line.
When the two came face-to-face again, Charles was incredulous as Victor sarcastically predicted Manpreet would eventually forgive the vicar.
“I’m an old man who’s trying to right my wrongs and make peace before I go meet my maker,” Victor quipped.
Charles accused his father of lying about his terminal illness, but when Victor brushed off the comment, his son made his intentions crystal clear.
“I want you gone,” Charles demanded.
Victor got in his son’s face, insisting he deserves respect because he’s Charles’s father after all. He announced that he’d be telling Claudette they’d agreed to “wipe the slate clean”.
“You don’t get a choice in this,” Victor insisted. “You need to accept that I am here for the duration and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it.”
Will Charles be able to prove his father is up to no good?
