EastEnders has teased a huge week for Stacey Slater and Theo Hawthorne’s stalker storyline, releasing a dramatic trailer ahead of the big episodes.
Next week will see Theo’s obsession with Stacey reach a climax, just as Stacey’s pregnant teenage daughter Lily goes into labour, and the soap’s teaser clip reveals that the plot will take another dark turn.
In the trailer, which was released on EastEnders‘ X account with the caption “Truth. Will. Out”, Stacey is seen apprehensively walking through her house after apparently hearing a noise. She calls out, “Mum? Is that you?”

Stacey’s partner Martin Fowler, who has been suspicious of Theo for some time now, is then heard saying, “I’ve just got this feeling about Theo. I am onto something, aren’t I?”
A raging Theo is shown shouting at Stacey, claiming that he is “the best thing that’s ever happened” to her, before Stacey kicks him out of the house and runs to lock the doors.
But it’s clear that the danger isn’t over, as Stacey is then seen running into her kitchen, only to be confronted by Theo – while a character voiceover says, “If he’s obsessed with your friend, she’s in trouble”.
Theo has been obsessed with Stacey for several months now, after subscribing to her OnlyFans account. Since managing to track her down in real life, he has been gradually infiltrating her life by volunteering to tutor Lily and popping up to ‘help’ Stacey whenever the opportunity arises.
His stalking has taken an even more sinister turn in recent weeks, as he has sent Stacey unwanted flowers and underwear, and even broken into her home and trashed her bedroom.
Next week, the situation will reach a climax when Theo realises that Martin and Eve Unwin know the truth, and he finally admits the truth to Stacey about his identity.

Although Stacey manages to force Theo out of the house, things take another turn for the worse when Lily’s waters suddenly break. Help is at hand when Stacey’s mum Jean Slater arrives, but the pair soon realise that they might have to deliver the baby themselves when the ambulance is delayed.
When Stacey heads to the kitchen to collect some towels, she is horrified to discover a delusional Theo in there, having forced his way back into the house.
As Jean tries to support Lily through her labour, she has no idea that Stacey is in serious danger just a few metres away. Will she be able to get away from Theo?
EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
