Dino Cazares is facing backlash for ‘ruining’ Fear Factory.
The guitarist took to X to respond to a user’s comment about the band and him being a ‘narcissist.’
“Dino, I respect your skills as a player & a songwriter. That’s where it ends. I know you don’t give a f*ck; that’s how a typical narcissist operates. You’ve destroyed Fear Factory. It’s nothing more than a cover band with 1 original member. Rebuild some bridges with the boys,” the user wrote on the platform.
“You think everything will be all peaches & cream if the band gets back together,” Cazares responded. “No one ever thinks about how we feel because u don’t care about how we feel u only want what u want. People change & want to move on with their lives to do their own thing, respect that.”
“I would also like to know how I ruined the band,” he responded to the same user in a separate post. “With that being said no matter how much I’ve been f*cked over I never can play the victim role. I leave that to other people who like to play the blame game. I’m a fighter for what I love and u confuse my confidence with narcissism.”
When the user responded with “Get Burton back and do a ‘Demanufacture’ world tour!! It’s what the world needs,” the rocker said, “Explain to me how he can physically do it. I think most of u understand what I’m asking here.”
When another user asked about Raymond Herrera, the rocker replied, “He quit playing more than a decade ago.”
Cazares was kicked out of Fear Factory back in 2002. His departure involved personal and legal disputes among the band members. Personal conflicts and disagreements over the band’s direction and business decisions caused the rocker’s exit. However, even though he left the band, Cazares says he still had great success and the band couldn’t keep it together without him.
“I controlled FF up until I was kicked out in 2002 with great success. From 2002-2009, the three of them only put out 2 albums, and they couldn’t keep it together cause they didn’t have a leader, + one of the guys was banging the other member’s wife,” the rocker said earlier in another social media post.
After he left, Fear Factory continued with different lineups. Cazares rejoined the band in 2009. Fans welcomed his return, and the band released new material that aimed to recapture their earlier sound.
In other news, the band is currently planning to release a new album. Cazares said the band would release an album next year ‘for sure.’
Fear Factory recorded and released their latest album ‘Aggression Continuum’ in 2021. Since then, they put out a reissue of a classic album and a remix album.
