Fear Factory’s Dino Cazares is trying to win back the right to the band’s two popular albums, but apparently, the owner is asking for a million dollars.
After a fan claimed on X that the old Fear Factory songs were better than the new ones, another user added by saying that they should make two of their albums available on Brazilian platforms. The user mentioned the first two albums made after the band’s first breakup — ‘Archetype’ and ‘Transgression.’
The guitarist responded:
“I do not own any rights to ‘Archetype’ or ‘Transgression’ so that means I can not do anything like add them to Spotify or re-release them. Please share this so I don’t have to keep answering this question.”
Another user added:
“I think Dino Cazares would rather focus on the future of Fear Factory instead of worrying about the era of the band he wasn’t in or involved with.”
In response, Cazares revealed that he tried but was asked for a huge amount of money to get the rights:
“I tried but the owner wants a million $ so yeah new music is better.”
The New Album Will Have The ‘Classic Fear Factory Sound’
Fear Factory recorded and released their latest album ‘Aggression Continuum’ back in 2021. Since then, they released a reissue of a classic album and a remix album.
In an interview with MoreCore.TV, the guitarist was asked when they would be releasing new music and what fans can expect to hear in their next album. He said:
“Classic Fear Factory record. Next year. For sure. We’ve been touring since February of 2023. We’ve been touring non-stop. And I think we’re very lucky that a lot of the promoters and a lot of fans are happy to have us back, and we’re excited to get out there and play for them.”
You can hear ‘Archetype’ down below.
