Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares sat down with Primordial Radio for a new interview and gave some details about the new upcoming album. The rocker chatted about the band’s current lineup and said everything has been going great:
“ At the moment, smooth sailing. And it’s been great. Everybody’s on point. Pete Webber’s on drums. He’s sick. He came from a thrash metal band called Havok. Killer drummer. We call him Pete The Feet. Milo Silvestro — new kid on the block. He came straight from Rome, Italy. “
Cazares even resembled the new singer Milo Silvestro to their original singer Burton C. Bell and continued:
“He sounds like a young Burton, you know what I mean? [He sounds like Burton did] back in the day. He sounds amazing. He’s probably the most musically talented in the band. And then Tony Campos, my old friend. He’s been with the band since, like, 2015. He comes from a band called Static-X. He’s been my mate for 30-plus years, and it’s always good to play with him, and I’m glad he’s with us.”
Why The Album Is Delayed
In an interview with BPM Live, Cazares hinted that the band’s next studio album might be coming soon, and revealed their plans to at least release a single before the end of 2024. Cazares mentioned that the main delay in releasing the new album is the band’s touring schedule for 2024:
“We want to try to get something out as soon as possible, but it may be a little bit of a while because we have a lot of touring coming up. I’m trying to stop (touring) at the end of June so we can go straight into the studio and start recording. But we’re pretty much booked from now to the end of June, and it’s gonna be a good six months. We’ve got to at least put a single out before the end of the year.”
Once it’s released, their upcoming album will be the band’s debut with Silvestro and follow their 2021 release, ‘Aggression Continuum.’
