Dee Snider thinks some artists are damaged and their art differs from theirs.
Twisted Sister rocker shared the cover art of Cactus’ upcoming album, ‘Temple Of Blues.’ On the cover, many rockers take place, including Ted Nugent. One of Snider’s followers was surprised that Snider was on the same project as him. In response, another wrote:
“Pretty sure Dee respects Nuge as a guitarist, despite him having a reputation for being nuttier than squirrel turds. Sometimes it’s just about the music.”
The rocker agreed and explained most artists were ‘damaged by definition’:
100% If you know anything about me, I don’t judge the art by the artist. Most artists are damaged by definition (believe me I know), that’s why we sit in our rooms creating while the rest of the world is out having fun.”
Snider VS. Nugent
Though Snider is more on the art side, he doesn’t hesitate to speak his mind when necessary.
Earlier, the rocker ‘celebrated’ Nugent for testing positive for COVID-19 after criticizing the usefulness of the vaccines many times. The rocker took to X to react to the news with the following words:
“It’s just…so…beautiful!”
In response, Nugent shared his disappointment and said he didn’t understand the hate:
“What is that thought process? He [Dee] and I have been friends. What horrible human impulse – horrible, rotten, hateful, soulless impulse – must exist in horrible people to take pleasure and celebrate a fellow man’s illness.
He added that Snider showed a ‘rotten’ side of himself:
“What a horrible, horrible manifestation of societal human abandonment. So, I pray for the Dee Sniders to allow themselves to be that rotten. I expect Marxists and leftists, but not a Dee Snider and not otherwise reasonably decent people – ’cause he’s a good guy. But, boy, he really showed a rotten, horrible side when he did that. And it didn’t impact me at all because I know that there’s always been bad, nasty people.”
