Disturbed’s David Draiman criticized Eric Clapton for giving support to Roger Waters.
Clapton recently endorsed the independent candidate for Holborn and St Pancras, Andrew Feinstein, writing in a tweet:
“Along with my dear friend Roger Waters, I stand in support of Andrew Feinstein, independent candidate for Holborn and St Pancras, in his fight for the children of Gaza, for the freedom of the people of Palestine, and for the soul of the human race… Against the genocide in Gaza… For love and Truth… Eric C.”
Upon seeing the guitarist’s support for Waters, Draiman left a comment under the post, saying:
“You’re a disappointing man Eric. As with Roger…I guess talent, doesn’t necessarily come with decency, or a moral compass. We Jews aren’t going anywhere, my dear bigot. Am Yisrael Chai btw.”
Draiman’s Previous Words On Waters
Draiman attacked the bassist many times before. In a new interview with Linda Advocate, the rocker said it’s worth going to jail to attack Waters. When asked about their political feud, the Disturbed frontman responded:
“He’s a piece of work, that deluded old freak. Antisemitic to his rotten core. Just ask [his Pink Floyd bandmate] David Gilmour and his wife — they’ll testify to it. He’s been that way for the duration of his life and the duration of his career. It’s nothing new. He’s a coward. He’s a hypocrite. He is a supporter of dictators and dictatorial regimes all over the world. He’s an apologist for Putin and apologist for anybody that’s on the wrong side of history. He’s a deluded wannabe-socialist as well.”
Later, the interviewer asked if David had ever met Waters in person. He replied:
“Oh, I’d love to meet him in person. Nothing would make me happier. I’d gladly serve whatever jail time and pay the bail necessary for whatever I could get done within a very limited period of time.”
Previously, Draiman also called Waters an antisemite on social media for wearing an SS officer uniform on stage in Berlin and for his political views. Draiman also criticized Waters for his comments about U2’s Bono and his support for Israel, calling Waters an antisemitic coward.
