During a recent appearance on Radio RMF FM, Damiano David explained if Måneskin has ended now that he has started his solo career.
“We’re good. I can call them now if you want,” the singer said. After the host said he could if he wanted, David replied, “I think they’re sleeping.”
Then, the host asked again, “So, you’re gonna come back to the stage?” “Yes, of course,” Damiano responded.
David started his solo music career with a new single called ‘Silverlines.’ Labrinth produced the song, which arrived on September 27. A press release said that Damiano’s new project is separate from Måneskin and it was ‘born from the need to express a more personal and vulnerable part of himself, a part of him that remains completely unexplored’ in the band.
“I travelled all around the world to find my voice, just to end up where everything started. Today is the first day of my life,” the singer said in a video teaser.
The rocker shared a mysterious teaser online earlier this month. Later, at the 2024 MTV VMAs, he discussed his solo career and explained more, “I’ve been working for a long, long time on a new project. And September 27 is the date of release so I would love everyone to stay tuned.”
In a past interview with The Allison Hagendorf Show, David said he was open to doing a solo project. He stated, “And I actually wish that one day we all do like a solo project one year and then we come back together with new ideas, new stimulation.”
Damiano continued, “I think art should be always trying new things and never, never stopping in your comfort zone. When something gets too comfortable, it’s not the right chair. You always have to challenge yourself. So being alone scares me. Let’s be alone.”
His bandmate, Victoria De Angelis, also recently announced her solo project and first single, ‘Get Up B*tch (Shake Ya A**),’ featuring Anitta.
