Creed frontman Scott Stapp and his wife Jaclyn decided to divorce after 18 years of marriage. The news was confirmed by Scott’s representative in a statement:
“Out of respect for their family, Scott intends to navigate this difficult time privately.”
Stapp hasn’t shared any comments on the issue yet. This was not the first time the couple considered ending their marriage. According to People, Scott and Jaclyn filed separate divorce files earlier in 2022 and 2023. The couple has three children together, a daughter and two sons.
What About Scott’s Future With Creed?
Before the divorce news broke, Scott was in the headlines with Creed’s epic comeback to live stage. The band performed their first live show in 12 years. Strapp received fans’ seal of approval with his impressive vocal performance.
Following their return to the stage, Creed fans wanted to know whether the band was planning to release a new album. In a previous interview with Rock Feed, Mark Tremonti confirmed that Creed will work on new music in the near future. He stated:
“It’s been something that people have been asking us for years about new music, so it’s just a matter of us getting back together be in the same room because it’s always a matter of timing for us. This cruise was 3 years in the making now so everything happened so quickly, it was so rapid fire, it was stuff that’s actually got music done for the surround of things but I’m sure the next time we get back out we’re going to have to have new music and everybody’s been asking for it.”
Even though Scott was having issues with his personal life, he didn’t reflect any of them in his performance. Considering the band’s return to live shows and their plans to release new music, the frontman seemed that he will be very busy in the next couple of months.
