Creed is back.
Back on July 19 last year, Creed made it official: they were making a comeback after all those comeback rumors. Fans were shocked to hear that their first gig back would be on their very own festival cruise. As a result, the tickets sold out in a really short time.
The band kicked off the set with the song ‘Are You Ready?’ They followed up with fan favorites like ‘Torn,’ ‘My Own Prison,’ and ‘Weathered.’
The main set wrapped up with sing-along anthems, ‘With Arms Wide Open’ and ‘Higher.’ The band and the crowd also celebrated Mark Tremonti’s 50th birthday.
In a recently shared video, a fan captured a part of the reunion show and shared it on both Facebook and YouTube.
The Fan Reactions To The Comeback
Fans were happy to see them back on stage after 12 years. A fan wrote under the video that it was better than their latest reunion:
“After all these years they’re sounding better than the last reunion.”
One commented on Scott Stapp’s voice:
“Stapp sounding amazing.”
Another added:
“Brother, was everything I hoped to see.”
Stapp Thinks God Wanted Creed To Reunite
Creed’s comeback kicked off when some of their footage became viral on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook in late 2022. Stapp pointed out in an interview that over the 12 years since their last concert, a fresh wave of younger fans has discovered Creed’s music. He added that it was all God’s plan:
“I’ve learned in my journey in sobriety and in recovery that… I believe in God, and I believe that God has a plan. And looking at this from a thousand-foot perspective, it just all just seems, to me, without a doubt that God’s had a hand in it. And I’m just grateful that I’m included on the ride, and I’m just not gonna take a moment for granted, and [I’m gonna] try to deliver every night and give the fans what they’re asking for.”
