Hardy sat down with Billboard and named a few musicians he would love to collaborate with.
During the interview, the country singer sent a message to Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl. After mentioning the people he’s worked with, he said of his ultimate dream collaboration:
“I don’t even know if he even knows I exist, but he would be cool.”
Though he named one more singer from a more extreme genre, Hardy still thinks Grohl is his number one:
“Alex Terrible from Slaughter to Prevail, he’s a pretty big deal right now. That’s a big one too. But Dave Grohl is definitely No. 1.”
Hardy’s Collaborations With Other Names
Hardy worked with some big names in his newest album, ‘Quit!!’ The singer collaborated with Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith. Hardy met Smith through Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger at this year’s Super Bowl.
They both collaborate with producer Joey Moi. Hardy wrote the song ‘Rockstar’ for the RHCP drummer and mentioned the band and paying tribute to their 2005 hit with the same title.
In the singer’s words, meeting his inspirations was a dream come true. In the same interview, he explained:
“I didn’t have that on my Bingo card. To meet people that like who truly influenced the sh*t out of me growing up and then to become friends with them, it’s a very cool thing.”
Grohl hasn’t responded to Hardy’s message yet, but we might expect to hear from him considering Hardy’s collaborations.
