According to Alicia Taylor, Corey Taylor might fire three more Slipknot members within this year.
Alicia recently had a Q&A session with her followers on X. One of the users asked her:
“How many more members of Slipknot do you think Corey will have fired by the end of 2024?”
She replied in a sarcastic tone:
“At least, like, 3.”
Another one wanted to learn:
“Do you ever make Corey wear his mask in bed???”
Alicia responded by saying:
“I don’t have to make him…”
Which Members Did Leave Slipknot In 2023?
Last year, Slipknot parted ways with two members: Craig Jones and Jay Weinberg. Jones was a member of the band since 1996. They deleted the social media posts about Jones’ departure within the hour. Slipknot replaced Weinberg with Eloy Casagrande. The group recently confirmed the news, writing on Instagram with a photo of the drummer with his mask:
“Slipknot officially welcomes Eloy Casagrande.”
Eloy’s Words On Becoming A Slipknot Member
Casagrande also spoke about joining Slipknot. The rocker took to Instagram and wrote the following about his feelings:
“It’s an exciting moment. Unthinkable until then. There is nothing to lose, there is nothing to win. There is just living. We’re here as one. Thank you Slipknot for trusting me. Thanks all the maggots and fans around the world. See you on the road. Here comes more pain.”
Slipknot has been hinting at their new drummer for a while. Fans had already guessed it was Casagrande. Later, an Instagram post confirmed them with a picture of all nine members, tagging the former Sepultura drummer. In an earlier post, Slipknot shared a broken drumstick with the caption ‘rehearsal,’ which fans had thought hinted at Casagrande.
At a small show before the Sick New World festival, Slipknot didn’t hide their new drummer’s identity. In February, Casagrande left Sepultura unexpectedly after 13 years, with Greyson Nekrutman taking his place. On the other hand, Weinberg joined Suicidal Tendencies.
