Warning: This article contains spoilers for Cobra Kai Season 6
Cobra Kai, the critically acclaimed Netflix series, is currently in the middle of its sixth season, which is also set to be its last. The series took an innovative approach to its final season’s release format, with Part 1 consisting of five episodes released on July 18 earlier this year, Part 2 just premiering on November 15, 2024, and Part 3 scheduled to premiere in February next year. But before that, co-creator Hayden Schlossberg raised expectations among fans with a promising update.
Ahead of the series’ conclusion, Schlossberg sat down for an interview with TV Insider, where he revealed that the final part of Cobra Kai’s Season 6 will end on a high note. He intends to tie up all loose ends and brings all character arcs to a close. He mentioned:
“If you’ve seen the middle five, you’ve seen amazing next-level martial arts that ended in complete chaos and no resolution. And the last five will end in resolution. There is no big cliffhanger at the end of the last five episodes. This is where all the questions get answered. All the characters reach their full arcs. All the mysteries get solved. And you’re still going to see next-level martial arts — and some unexpected twists and turns — but it’s really designed to be an exciting, thrilling, and fulfilling conclusion to this six-season journey that we’ve all been on.”
While Schlossberg did tease that the final part will “really hit you hard,” he also added that the conclusion will “be really fun.” Cobra Kai features an ensemble cast, consisting of Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, who reprise their iconic roles as Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence from the original Karate Kid movies. The series also stars Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso, Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz, Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene, Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso, and more. Returning Karate Kid actors also include Martin Kove as John Kreese alongside Thomas Ian Griffith as the villainous Terry Silver.
‘Cobra Kai’ Season 6 Is Full Of Shocking Twists Already
Cobra Kai is heading towards its final blow, and so far, it has been praised greatly for the high-stakes drama, kinetic action, and rich character development. Season 6 of Cobra Kai has been nothing short of dramatic, with the Sekai Taikai tournament turning into a chaotic and deadly event. Daniel LaRusso is grappling with his own revered perception of Mr. Miyagi’s legacy and Johnny Lawrence has stepped in to protect his former sensei, John Kreese, from Terry Silver’s lethal intentions. Meanwhile, the season delves into the emotional journeys of Robby and Tory, who are working through their relationship, and Miguel is fine-tuning himself to act as the big brother.

One of the most shocking twists of the season, however, was the unexpected death of Kwon, a character who’s been a part of the Cobra Kai narrative since the beginning. This left fans reeling and speculating about the direction in which the show will advance, because now the stakes are higher than ever, with each character facing major transformations. Regardless, there’s little to worry about the storylines remaining unresolved or Cobra Kai ending on a cliffhanger now that Schlossberg has assured a satisfying ending.
