Kylie Jenner has a fan in Claudia Schiffer.
The supermodel, 53, shared a post to Instagram on April 24 marking “bikini season” ahead. The first photo in her post was a fun throwback photo of her and fellow supermodel Helena Christensen, 55. The picture from the ’90s found the two icons decked out in Chanel, including bikinis from the fashion house’s Spring/Summer 1995 RTW collection.
Schiffer’s teeny-tiny black bikini is the exact one that Jenner, 26, wore in an Instagram she posted on April 6. And Schiffer took notice.
“@kyliejenner has the right idea in vintage @chanelofficial ❤️” Schiffer wrote in her caption.
The icon also modeled it on the runway back in 1994, though she wore the red version. Christensen also wore the same suit on the runway (in the sherbet-inspired same colorway as the ad Schiffer shared). Naomi Campbell also rocked the piece on the runway that year.
Jenner wore her vintage piece for a beachy getaway, writing in her Instagram caption, “back in paradise.”
While most of the photos saw Jenner simply posing in her black-and-silver swimsuit, others focused on the locale. One image even showed Jenner’s vibrant nails, a closer look at the rings she was wearing and her wet hair — all of which completed the beach-day look.

Schiffer (and Chanel) have been the blueprint for many people’s fashion and last year were an inspiration for Margot Robbie as she portrayed Barbie in the Greta Gerwig-directed film.
From the same spring/summer 1995 RTW show, Robbie wore another of Schiffer’s looks while promoting Barbie: a coral and black crop top and black skirt. The collared top featured a flower-shaped blue, red, and coral piece of jewelry on the bust, while the skirt featured a gold chain with Chanel’s iconic logo on it.
In the film, she also wears an archival Chanel look first worn by Schiffer. Chanel shared a behind-the-scenes video with Robbie, taking a closer look at the house’s designs in the film, and the actress noted that there were several pieces that she got to wear that were so exciting. One, in particular, stood out.
“There were some incredible outfits that I actually got to wear that Claudia Schiffer herself, who’s kind of like a real-life Barbie, wore,” Robbie said. “In fact, one of the archival suits that I wore had a little label that said ‘Claudia’ on it. And I was like, ‘Wow!’”
