Several celebrities took themselves out to the ballgame to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees compete in the 2024 World Series.
The two teams have had a long history in the MLB championship series, having faced off against each other 11 times since 1941. This year’s 12th matchup marks the teams’ first World Series competition since 1981.
The best-of-seven series kicked off on Friday, October 25. Freddie Freeman helped the Dodgers score a 6-3 victory over the Yankees with an impressive grand slam hit, after which he ran over to kiss his wife, Chelsea Freeman, on the side of the field.
The first team to win four out of the series’ seven games will take home this year’s Commissioner’s Trophy.
Both teams have garnered fan support from some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including John Legend, Jason Bateman, Jennifer Lawrence and more.
